Re: Rack Towers for SVX

www.rola.com.au is the ONLY company that offers a rack.
install is WAY easy, getting it from AU, that's Australia, is a $$$ and was a PITA. until if found the guys below.
my setup w/ bike and ski racks, i got the 4 ski holder as it's taller and the sunroof can be opened.
see my cardomain link for pic of rack w/ bike setup.
the only thing is i wish there was some kinda lock setup for the bike and they use 2 different keys for the ski racks. WTF!
might wanna ask about matching keys/racks, like having the same key for both racks.
cost $850 US w/ shipping!
these guys took care of me
http://www.extremelimitsoffroad.com.au/
email Mark here
Mark.Stonehouse@extremelimitsoffroad.com.au
via paypal, which is nice as there woulda been some recourse IF there had been a problem.
hope that helps.

Actually Subaru made one for the SVX, but doubt that you would ever be able to find one. I think I have only seen pics of two cars with the Subaru rack.

Hahaha ya.... ok so i got something that will work other than spending a whole butt load of money on racks, granted they are really nice, but i just bought a trunk mount bike rack at DI for $10, now i can go biking!!! and then my dad and i just thought of something..... y dont we put yakima racks on the bars that hold the bikes?!!!??!!!! sooooooo thats what im gunna do, a set of Button Down 4 Yakima's with risers in one end to clear the one end of the bike rack!!!! now i got my racks!!! hahaha! but ya that was my cheaper way of doing it!!!

Pics attached are with my bike on.... ill attach pics of the racks on later this week:

Re: Rack Towers for SVX

Nice, though carrying the dualie was my problem w/ those kinda racks.
I've got a Nomad and that just doesn't work to well.
I wanted a Yak receiver hitch bike mount but since the svx can't take a hitch....

Re: Rack Towers for SVX

Why would anyone need a bicycle when they have a SVX.

Just wondering...

Yes sir it is. It was like that when i bought it, either the dumb F*CK i bought it from or another previous owner had it painted and also down the both front fenders to blend it with the rest of the car. I like it, it gives the car a one-of-a-kind look. When i get it repainted, im going to keep the hood and fenders the way are! ill get a pic on here so u can see it in full!
