Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Trans is stuck about an inch away from the engine. Not sure how to budge it in.

Put the trans in gear. Use the driveshaft to turn it until the splines all line up with the new clutch.

Since he was waiting on bolts... could the clutch disc have been mis-aligned? ...causing the shaft to hit the side of the bearing instead of slipping into it.

...then again, most people use studs on the bottom instead of bolts. so i dunno.

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

I know we got the bolt holes ligned up where the trans mounts to the enigne. in fact the bottoms went in eaisly but the trans is not fully seated yet....the top holes lign up too enought to start threading into the engine, just were worried on stipping them. The splines might be off but i dont thing its the bearing keeping us from moving forward..

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Any luck getting those things? If not I'll just bite the bullet and buy the bull****.

Napa didn't seem to have a very good selection of bolts yesterday.

I just sheathed the trans into it's resting position. Batty man answer your phone.

You said there'd be pizza but I'm not gonna order any if I'm doin this by myself even if I am hungry as a wolf. I still need to go buy groceries.

Let's see if I can thread the top bolt...

Re: Young Tom, someone help ASAP.

Can someone verify for me what the little spring at the top of the clutch fork is supposed to connect to?
