We report bad people that cheat us on our SVX stuff, right?
I want to report some really good people! On eBay there is often a timing belt kit with all the rollers sprockets etc. The company selling the kit is in Washington State. I called them about the timing belt kit and needed it right now! I got it at the same price as buy it now on eBay and the shipping was only 8.95 UPS you know the shipping that actually gets where it is supposed?
The kit had 3 slick rollers and one sprocket. For you people that don’t know that is a bummer. It needed to have 2 slick rollers and 2 sprockets. I called and they sent out my correct sprocket that day, I got it the next day and they included a prepaid return label for me to return the extra slick rollar. Not many people in today’s world that do things right!! The price is certainly right. My kit had an American made timing belt and quality parts all around. I also called them and got some excellent SVX break pads at a great price. These are good people. I say thanks to the import export folks. That's great Keith! So many times on here we just hear the horror stories, it's nice to hear when everything works out for the best. I have worked in a customer service capacity for over two decades and you are right. The days of taking care of the customer and then rectifying the inventory problem are long gone in most businesses. I'm glad that they sent you the part right away and corrected the problem so you could finish your project. You should put something in the "Product and Service Review" section, so others can shop there.

Thanks for letting us know Keith. It is probably more important that we know who to deal with instead of who not to deal with. This is a great post to do it.

Well, while we are on the subject(and a good subject it is), I have done numerous transactions with Summit Racing and they have never let me down. Never more than two days shipping. They have screwed up(I've given them dozens of opportunities) but they are quick to fix it, including over-shipping on faith.
I could say all the same things about Golfsmith International in Austin, TX, but that's not really Subaru-related. |
