I don't see anything preventing that. An intercooled turbo setup could be used to feed the twin screw supercharger.

if I can ask though..can we possibly not generate 3 pages of high boost fantassy posting in this thread. Fantassy life can be fun but people have problems finding the real info amid so many pages of chit chat.

The supercharger systems I put out last year are not designed to run that kind of boost either. They are not aftercooled or easily aftercoolerable; that means they are limited to the 12ish psi which Tom and SickSubie already have pullies for.

Mike has it right... When running 93 octane I will limit my built engine to 12psi via the pulley I have... when and if I feel some sort of injection (water or alchohol) is suitable I will have a larger crank pulley made to run at tops 18psi.

As I know you surmised LAN, and Tom also verified, that was my reason for mentioning the physical boost limits, even with excellent twin screw blowers.

Far better to do what can be done to a level of excellence. It is good to see this work progressing in a realistic, considered and careful manner.

My own Eaton blower has a higher tendency to heat than the Whipples, so I will be using water injection with mine, because I have to. I've my sights set on 9 lbs boost, which I hope will deliver 320+ hp in an idealised installation. I am more focused on the torque increase rather than the horsepower, both are welcome.

I'm sticking with the auto, although most people going forced induction tend to want manual gearbox control. However, I am leaning stronger to changing the final drive gearing to 4.11 or maybe even 4.44.

My brother has a manual Forester Turbo from Japan. Big turbo, it makes 240 hp or so. However, it always felt stronger than my 270 hp Legacy that had two sequential turbos. I put this down mostly to the lower gearing. Legacy was 4.11, Forester is 4.44. The high top ratio of the 4 EAT makes it road usable.

The lead time on the valves was specified as 8 weeks when I ordered them. That has not changed to my knowledge.

well i ordered a set of Clevite bearings and NO dice... they only had .25mm over and .50mm over so I went with High Tech bearings... basically the same thing as Clevites and they are the only ones who carry std sizes. anyway I ordered them from partsamerica.com for a 1992 subaru legacy sport(turbo).

2 Main Bearing kits - Hi-Tech Engine Components: MS2062AL

2 conn rod bearing kits(not sold individually) - Hi-Tech Engine Components K1657AL4

Total of just about $200. Glad I got my ordered straightened out before it was too late... Just figured I would post for the rest of u guys

I just checked partsamerica.com and you are right, the standard size clevite bearings aren't coming up. I'll post the part # for them when I dig them out.

Thanks for the good info. I would also like to do my bearings. Problem is I've never done them or worked with plastiform. How difficult are they to do? Is there some instructional info I could get that would help me. I'm starting to get low on funds so anything I can do myself would be great.

I'd still like to do the ARP bolts and copper head gasket. Still considering closing or semi closing the deck as well. That will probably do it though.
