56K WARNING- Custom Center Console: Now With 100% more cupholder!
Little rough around the edges, needs some extra carpeting and maybe some fiberglass
 but heres the first version:    sorry if the links went bad, i'm using geocities and my daily quota maxes out real quick.

I'm hesitant to post these because it looks much better in person; try to keep in mind this is merely a mockup, if you will. I'm considering filling the new seatbelt/cupholder ashtray assembly with some sort of extruded foam sound insulation... Also, the molding around the shifter needs to be cut and sanded and then some grey carpeting to fill in the ugly empty spaces.
Heres your 56K Warning...      do not try this at home.

i think you could do better than a chopped up Wedgie cupholder (which is pretty useless as far as cupholders go).

Well, this is still a work in progress, I need scraps of gray carpeting mainly to complete the project, and still am messing with fiberglass options.
Right now, I am looking to delete the automatic seatbelts - stupid early 90's engineering... - mainly so I can get rid of the bulky retractors. I've seen some topics concerning manual seatbelt conversions... anyone done one?

why not just use the cupholder that originally came with the car?

I bought mine 15+ years used, if there was one, its long gone.
I didn't really start this to make a cupholder, I just didn't like how the center console was this massive hulk of plastic (the thing has well over 32 screws involved in holding it together) that interfered with hand-holding and other signifigant-other stuff...

Rule #1 for my car... NO DRINKS NO FOOD ALLOWED.
Rule #2 Ejection Seats installed, violation of rule #1 will result in an immediate expulsion from the vehicle. IMHO looks terrible, just terrible. -Sov13t.
