That makes perfect sense. He had the WoW equivalent of a '63 split window.

Right now, lv60 WoW characters are going for 50-100 even in high-end gear because the expansion comes out Jan 16 and the level cap is upping to 70, rendering any current gear obsolete in a few days. I'm glad I sold when I did.

Edit: I had 1600 hours (~67 days /played time) on the well-geared rogue, and sold it for $300, so... 18.75 cents per hour.
Well, the great thing about it is you were going to play anyway, so selling the characters is like a end of the year bonus.

I'll never play, cause I will get addicted. There is no doubt I would become a Warcraftaholic in no time.

Do you find the gear, or do you buy it or both? How does the game work? Is it like the Elder Scrolls series? (Which I used to be addicted to. You should have seen my house from Morrowind... I designed and built it myself. It was huge... 4 levels)

Most of the really nifty (aka high end) stuff is bound to you when you pick it up. most of the lower stuff can be found or possibly purchased on the auction house. Bid and buy it now style.
