which Jack?

i need to get under my car but i don't know which jack i need to buy. The 4 tons or the 3 tons one

Your car weighs less that two tons.
If they lift to the same height, get the cheaper one and use the extra money to buy better jack stands.

+1 on what SVXfiles said, get jackstands before you get underneath the car! A 3ton jack will safely lift a corner of a full size pick up so if you have a pick up or other heavy vehicle you'll still be able to use the jack.

Is this for travel or shop use? If for shop use I'd recommend an aluminum racing jack. I passed on one and regret it. Yes, you need a set of good jackstands but if you can afford it and will use it alot by all means.

Go to Pepboys, they have complete sets (3 ton jack with two jack stands) I paid $75 when it was on sale.

Um I don't think there is a pep boy around me. I need a jack that can fit in my car or a sti. Also a good price for jack and stands. Also what brake /steering fluid do yell use?
