Humorous Comments from a DC Solo guy
I just received an e-mail from one of the guy's that run in the auto-x events at Fedex Field. It's good for a laugh.
"I learned that tech can't help you discover your loose wheel if it falls off before you get there. I learned that lug nuts are better than bread crumbs for retracing your steps to your paddock spot. I learned that fuel starvation is not an effective form of traction control. I learned that if you cord a tire, the tread doesn't grow back before the next event. I learned that the polyester belts of a 710 don't provide quite as much grip as the rubber does. I learned that it's possible to have your worst finish of the season and still have a great time. I learned it took the combined power of three men to edge me out for a WDCR Solo championship- one for each season. I learned that if you strung our fastest runs together from each event this year into one long run, Brad B would have had time to get out of the car, take off his helmet, and laugh at me before I crossed the finish. I learned that we have the most dedicated, enthusiastic, competent Solo crew that anyone could ever ask for...OK, I knew that already. Thanks for another great one, Steve Chisholm #31ES" |

That guy Steve is funny. I saw him on Sunday when he had the 'lug nut' issue...
