wheel and tire questions

First off, thanks for the help on the last wheel install with my Lexus IS300 Sport Design wheels (which will soon be for sale, see my locker). Now, I've acquired a set of 2006 Lexus GS430 wheels that are 18x8. Anybody know if 18x8 will fit and what size rubber I should wrap them in?

Thanks again...

Nate

225/40-18 would be my suggestion. On 18x8" rims, most tire manufacturers suggest a 225 width tire. The 40 profile will make the tire the same height as the OEM 225/50-16 tire.

They'll fit, but that's a bit wide for an 18x8" rim. A 245/40 would fit much better on an 18x8.5" or 18x9" rim. And that tire is almost 1" taller than the OEM tire height.
