reading codes
Where or how can I pull up some codes? My car doesn't blink any lights for codes to read and my ABS light has been on for awhile. All the mechanics I've went to can't read codes on older cars. Do I need to buy something? Is there a shop I can go, like Sears, Pep boys, Midas, etc.?

Dannmarr...... Earthworm has the ABS codes somewhere... I haven't looked yet, but when I had problems, there were about 11 codes (abs codes), and you have to read them from your blinking ABS ecu under your passenger seat....I believe you have to drive at least over 35 mph for at least 1 minute and then come to a stop and see what the ecu code is from the blinks.

Ok, of course I look after I typed above:
The codes are there from the link above as well.....There are 0-16 codes and you have to drive at least 19mph for 1 minute to read the codes......Just don't check it as you are driving....that may get tricky

You can only get the codes from the ABS unit. Can you borrow a replacement unit from a kind and helpful forum member?
Usually there's a bad ground or water in the ABS unit.
