i drove the car hard for two years on stock rotors and never had a problem with warping. but all the autox and racing at the track has been with the cross-drilled rotors. but again, no warping. midas did all the work on my car when the rotors were stock and now i let the guy who custom built my exhaust deal with my brakes. i did notice that when putting my brakes on none of these guys used an air wrench, per my suggestion of course!

thanks for all the info lightning and 1994.
as it turns out now, i'm 90% sure that i'm moving to hawaii in about a month and a half.
i'm not sure whether i'll be taking the svx or not though -- i might need to sell it for the money to move/survive until i get a job.

does anyone out there have any advice or barge recommendations for shipping my car over there?
the cheapest i've found so far is about $850.

Toby. Go to the Yahoo site (if you can get on) and post this question for "svxit." He's been through it all before with his SVX. Drove cross-country from DC and shipped his SVX to Hawaii. He didn't stay long, though. Shipped it back to the mainland, and drove cross-country back to DC.
