Sony PSP Owners
Hey you owners, I've noticed that movies are now coming in PSP format now. Does that mean you have to buy 2 copies to play in your DVD and in the PSP? Or can you convert the one from PSP to DVD or vice versa? It's pretty stupid that you'd have to buy two copies.

use PSP Video9 to copy a ripped DVD/video file/etc. to a big 'ol memory stick.

The UMD movies aren't that high quality, right? They're also more expensive too, right?

Decoded DVDs usually run between 3-4GB based on content...

But you would transcode them at a lower resolution to match the PSP's screen resolution, right? That's what I did with content that I wanted to watch on my PDA.
Also, decoded DVDs wil run from 3-8 or so GB. Dual-layer DVDs can hold more, and most DVDs available nowadays are dual-layer. The single-layer ones hold something like 4.3 GB. |

Using psp video 9 a movie is typically 300-400 mb. Pretty small actually.
