new gauges for teh LGT

got some $30 gauges on ebay that match the dash perfectly! other matching gauges are the Autometer Nexus (around $500 for boost gauge and controller) or Defi (around $450 for boost (not PSI) and controller). i got a voltmeter, too, and saved a ton of money!

these ones are blacked out when off (like factory), and surprisingly nice quality. they don't do the full sweep "opening ceremony", but i can live with that for $60 total. still have to hide and tuck the wiring - i ran out of time.

its sold. new owner to fly out in a few weeks to pick her up. long story, but he bought plane tickets, i then realized i had a hotel booked in Ocean City the day he is supposed to arrive, his flight arrives in Baltimore, so i'm driving the SVX down to OC and he's picking it up there. what seemed like a nightmare actually worked out not so bad, and i get one last road trip in the ol' SVX.

i dunno - i think Stage 1 is enough to get me into a LOT of trouble.

the urge to gut the stock downpipe (for stealth state inspection reasons) and a jump to Stage 2 is strong, though.

i have the spoiler, but didn't get the Limited package (sunroof, power leather seats - $2500 extra). i never really used the sunroof in the SVX or 928, and i get a little extra headroom, less weight, and one less thing to possibly break. leather would be nice, but i really didn't want power seats - Mrs Shark will be using this car more often, and she's petite - its quicker to grab the lever and move the seat back so my knees aren't smashed against the dash, rather than push the button and wait - "rrrrrrrr.....". besides, the GT will only be offered with the Limited package for '06, so mine will be "rare".

here's a crappy pic - i'm getting my sport grille next week and will post some more pics soon. can't wait!
