Maple Grove Reading event

Just seeing what interest there is in a possible autox or drag strip event at Reading. Maple Grove is close by (maybe 15 minutes). I looked it to it a bit last year but it was $$$ when looking at the numbers interested. Ideally we'd like to keep something on Sunday am if possible so those not interested aren't tied down at something they don't wanna do.

Now just so everyone knows the autox lot is not the smoothest. My XT loves it but it'll definately not be the best on worn suspensions.

I vote for AutoX. I havnt had a chance to run one with the new springs. Then again with any luck I'll have the stage 3 by then so I could go for the Drag strip too. I wouldn't mind running agains a couple of other SVXii. Maybe someone will have a Stage 2 to run against.

I would definitely be interested if I decide to go. I am just not sure right now if I am going or not.

Keep in mind these things do cost money. Need lots of particiants with money hopefully prepaid as this would cost in the $1000s I'm guessing. Gotta keep in mind that we'd need someone to run the thing for insurance purposes. I know I don't have $ to back it.

If their dragstrip is open, its usually a "pay as you go" thing. I pay $25 or so for the car and driver, Mike pays for himself, we both hope not to get smoked by a neon The track makes us sign a waver, everybody happy.

I just called Maple Grove and they are closed untill April 16+17th.http://www.maplegroveraceway.com/index.asp
I'm not sure of their policy, but to my knowledge, most places let you run in a street eliminator class. Or a test and tune is also fun.

So does that mean they won't be opened anyway? Damn! And I'm gonna be armed and ready with my 6 speed and stage II.

If we can do it I'm in.

to Reading in April, I'll definitely be up for some dragracing. Hopefully by then I'll have my first 14 sec pass under my belt.

Think the 4.11/4.44 SVXs will be able to do some 5/6MT slaying Tom!

The S/C Stage 3 SVX will be with the 4EAT SVXers though...unless mikecg gets a 5/6 spd put in before then.

Either way, if a drag racing meet does happen, it'll be cool to see some modded SVXs making some runs down the strip!
