Snow!!

Boy did we get some snow today!
Our part of western Colorado doesn't normally see this in one snowfall. It snowed all day long.

I just hope I can get out of the driveway and to work tomorrow!

Holy smokes - that's a lot of snow! How many inches fell today? Looks like you may have a bit of digging to do tomorrow am...

The measurement on that table at 11:00 this morning was 7.75. It continued to snow all day, but got up to 35 degrees, so some of it melted. I measured it again after the temp dropped below freezing and it was very close to 8". So we probably got somewhere between 9 and 10 actually. GJSVX says it's still snowing some at his house a few miles away. Who knows how more we'll get overnight? However, it is 23 degrees here now... so probably too cold for much more snow.


BTW... it's 17 in Denver and the snow has pretty much stopped at the game over there... but I'm glad I'm not in the stands!!!

You Colorado people must be some pretty tough folk. That's way too much snow than I could handle...in NOVEMBER!

Not me!
You gotta remember... our little valley in western CO is high desert.... this is only the 2nd time in the 10 1/2 yrs I've been here that we've ever gotten this much snow here. The first time was just last February! Our town and county only have about 6 plows!
I just like it when I can sit at home and watch it!
(hoping for a reason to call in to work tomorrow....lol)



Growing up in KC, we had regular snow days off school cause it snowed so much that the buses couldn't get through the backroads.

Michelle, I hope Penny was able to ride that out in a HEATED garage! I was in Denver in October of 1993 before Halloween and they had over a foot and it was 60 degrees the next day. Colorado is different to those of us back on the east coast. Ken, you finally getting out your camera won't do me any good if the Lagacy is under a foot of snow!

Yes Dan, Penny lives in a heated garage. But today she's been getting pretty dirty as the sun hits the stuff and it starts to melt. However, the temp is still below freezing, so in the shade everything's icy.

Well... some of the snow melted off in the sun today, but the temperature never got above freezing.

It's almost 8:00 pm and it's about 10 degrees outside... will really hate to know how cold it's really going to get tonight.
