The SVX pulls through in a pinch
So, a few buddies of mine were driving down the road the other day, when suddenly, my friend Justin blows a tire at 35. Now, this friend of mine isn't the greatest driver in the whole wide world and in a feeble attempt to simply pull off to the side of the road, ends up piling his car into a ditch. Once we all stop and assess the situation, we came to the solution that, since there were no other 4WD/AWD vehicles available, that the SVX would be best suited to pull him out.
I wasn't to keen on the idea to use the only car with AWD and also the only car to have the crappiest transmission under the sun make an attempt to pull him out, but I figured why not. Long story short, I love AWD...I love torque.. and I love knowing that if I pull a Ford Probe out from being stuck in a ditch, that my tranny will mysteriously continue working. Keith

I don't think one short 'pull' on him out of the ditch is going to hurt anything. ...............Now, if you were going to tow him for a hundred miles or so, I think that would be a different story......
Remember- heat is the big tranny killer. -Mark |

Great going Keith! UberRoo also did some towing with his SVX after doing his awd fix, and his trans is still doing fine (last I heard).
