Hey Subafreak.. wanna get into drifting?

i've seen a lot of these kids in 240sx's and rx7's getting all showy because oooh ahhh.. they can drift a rwd car....

what say we put a beefy rear diff on the RX, replace those rear axles, lower it the rest of the way, and go show them how it's done??

or do what the guys that are getting into the Grassroots motorsport challenge did... Take everything outta the SVX (750lbs of dead weight... Get some custom suspension made... Harder than porters... About 700lbs/inch in the rear and 450lbs/ inch in the front... ya should be able to kick the rear end of the SVX out really easy then!!!

I'm not real big into drifting, but I will say that those guys are doing more than just making the rear wheels spin. That stuff is hard to do - especially when you see the 'team drifts.'

I don't know about it as a competitive motorsport, though, since it's not a simple matter of what order everybody finished in. I guess I't liken it to the figure skating of motorsports.

I think it might need a little more power for drifting. Spinning tires with the E-brake on is one thing, spinning tires wile doing 50mph is another. Not that I won't try.
