Unhappy Oxygen Sensor

Replacement a snap with the universal 3 wire from oxygensensors.com ($45.00). They now have crimp adapters and heat shrink tubing and easy instuctions to follow. Car now runs well but..... I connected both blue troubleshooting wires to the black adapter to clear the codes, both starting the engine, and just turning the ignition on and cannot clear the codes. What am I doing wrong?

You have to move the SVX, drive it until the engine light starts to blink and then stop remove the blue wires and shut it off.
