History of the "Reading" Meet

What a wonderfully well told and written history of the Reading meet, Randy. Thank you for sharing that with those of us who were not here when it all began nearly 4 years ago.

I agree with you that it is sacred and should remain in April on a set weekend unless of course it falls on Easter weekend (some things are more sacred).

Man, you try and be polite and see what it gets you around here!

You're out driving around with boys in your car and I offered Anita a beer. Hell, if you'd been hanging around I'd have offered you one too, but noooooo!

Agreed. That's why I voted for the 3rd weekend in the "poll." That, and the fact that I'm tired of hearing people piss and moan about the "bad weather" in the second weekend (Was it beautiful this year, or what?).

Somebody check the calendar well into the next millineum and make sure there are no Holiday conflicts. Then, we can just KEEP it at weekend #3 in April and make plans ad infinitum.

Thumbs up Readiiing Fiiive

If April is sacred SVX meets will be controlled by the moon (sort of). According to this web site:

http://www.lairgauche.com/calendar.htm

trying to select a permanent weekend in April and avoid Easter is literal Lunacy. One might select permanently the fourth weekend, unless it is Easter, then it will be the third weekend in April??? or the third weekend, unless that is Easter, then the fourth???? No wonder "Hooray, Hooray the first of May..." jingles through my mind.

I haven't visited this site in awhile. I agree that the history of the Reading meet was a very nice write-up. ...good to have it. And I know the feeling of driving into the HI parking lot at the first meet and seeing all those SVX's lined up. Ooooh - What a treat! Thanks for keeping it (Readiiing) going - whatever the date.

I liked the site of the SVX's off the Lancaster Exit as I was driving off in the wrong direction going (hay I think that might be the place over there.

I especially liked the sight of all those SVXes driving towards us down the road as we were leading a large group of SVXes in the opposite direction, looking for a covered bridge at Reading iii.

I spent most of Reading iii in a state of confusion not Pennsylvania.
