I hope its lower than that! My fluid doesnt go above 160 ever when its under 40 degrees out. Heck, I'm happy to see 120.

Well given the fragility of our trannies, 40 degrees on this side of 160 is better than the other alternative. As for the actual TC lockup temp, 160 is about where I noticed it, but that was before the winter temps set in. I don't think my TC has locked up since.

On my car:
4th gear kicks in between 50°F and 56°F TC locks up around 150°F After TC locks up the tranny temp starts falling quickly. If the tranny temp falls below 100°F the TC will unlock. This only seems to happen if it's below 15°F. Any warmer and the tranny keeps itself warm enough even during TC lockup.
