FINALLY! Sorry again for the delay. Finally got a chance to search the manual last night. Lemme see . . . I know I marked the page with a piece of toilet paper (clean, mind you). Uhm, I guess I just gave away my research location.

Oh well. Here we go:

BY-PASS AIR CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE: The ECU controls the duty control valve in the air control solenoid valve to bring the operating engine speed as close to preset idle speed as possible.

PURGE CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE: Receives a signal from the ECU and controls the purge of evaporative gas absorbed by the Canister.

The purge control solenoid valve is on the evaporation line between the canister and the collector chamber. It is built on the inside of the collection chamber.

I'm trying to find a schematic that shows the location of all the parts. Will scan and post it, once I've found it.

Okay, here's the schematic for the emmission control system and vacuum fitting. Hope this helps.

Since the codes you're reading point to these elements, and since the elements mention control idle speed and whatnot, my "guess" would be yes. However, as mentioned in another thread, condensation in the EGR system could cause elements in that system to freeze and create some of the same difficulties. Try unplugging the two elements identified by the codes and see if there is any change in your symptoms. If not, then, they are suspect. If so, you'll need to look elsewhere.

From the looks of the picture of the engine, the vacuum line to the purge control valve is under the manifold on the driver's side. I'm not positive about the by-pass valve, but, believe it is inline with the purge side of the canister. I don't have my manuals with me or I could be more accurate.
