Clifford G5 Intelliguard Alarm

Thinking of buying a Clifford Intelliguard Alarm System G5 850 for my car.
In particular for the remote start feature.

Has anyone had any experience with these they'd like to share ?
Thanks

Re: Clifford G5 Intelliguard Alarm

the alarms work well just don't let a place like car toys or best buy install it. i remove lots of aftermarket alarms and you wouldn't believe the mess of wiring and crimp on connectors jammed under the dash.

Re: Clifford G5 Intelliguard Alarm

I never had good luck with remote starts with my sports cars. They always seem to mess up the electronics. Anyway, I don't mind walking in the snow to start up my car

Re: Clifford G5 Intelliguard Alarm

I ended up buying a few units from the same maker as the Clifford system. Daniel has had one installed in his car and it works well.

Re: Clifford G5 Intelliguard Alarm

Can, you install a remote auto start in the trunk where the security module is. by taping in to the wires, or replacing the module with a security/remote start? I would rather work on wiring in the trunk than under the dash.

Re: Clifford G5 Intelliguard Alarm

Daniel paid someone to install his and I'll likely do the same. So don't hold your breath for a write up.
