Re: Cars that you want (now, past, or present)

You know I almost forgot about this car. Being in the U.S. I'll never own one sadly but if I were ever presented with the rare opportunity to actually acquire one of these I would jump on it in a heartbeat! Of course it should only seem natural as to why I like this beast but more so I just love the comfy looking interior and the little BMW-like gadgetry that makes it feel higher end... the Citroen XM:

The XM is a masterpiece... but I still would take an SM over it. I still say that the Citroen SM and the XM inspired the SVX to some degree!

Have a look at this video that Jay Leno did on his:

Re: Cars that you want (now, past, or present)

I won't be able to think of all of the cars I want, because there are probably more thank 50 or so, but I'll post some of the ones I actually have pictures of from my last detail job.

Triumph TR6:

Mercedes G-wagon (not sure why, just liked the drive) :

Jaguar E-type V12 (also not sure why, just like how unique it looks) :

E30 M3 :

My stepdad's old M3 (first car I ever took to 140mph, on the track of course!) :

and to just name a few more:
-22b sti
-Lotus Espirit
-BRZ (to play around with)
-Impreza 2.5 RS (to build up for rally/offroad fun)

For now, I just continue to dream...

Re: Cars that you want (now, past, or present)

On a rerun of "American Pickers" last night a '67 Ford Fairlane GT was featured and I found myself fairly longing for an oldster like that.

Seller told 'em it was the original dark-blue paint, they popped the hood to survey the big 390, went all on about the VIN plates being correct and so forth, but never uttered a peep about the fact that the inside of the hood was a pale yellow. Paid seven grand plus another four just to get it roadworthy.

Re: Cars that you want (now, past, or present)

Well actually my dream list would look like this...
Ultima - to my spec.
Blower Bentley
Bugatti Veyron
Auto Union GP car
Any Invicta
Audi A8 W12 Quattro

The early E Type and Shelby Cobra are best left to the imagination upon reflection. As is the Dodge Charger, and the Mk3 Zodiac oval racecar with no windows.

One consolation though - the Lord gave me a vivid imagination, a poor memory, and enough earning ability to live on, just... what more could a man want other than a similar list of motorbikes.

Re: Cars that you want (now, past, or present)

Saw the 60 min show last night . The owner of the company that built the Dragon space ship that supplied the Space Station, also builds cars
I want this one starting $ is around $50,000
Not bad considering the. Savings on fuel , oil changes, emission testing, plugs, tuneups , air and gas filters and exhaust parts
