Re: is this an aux plug?

The thingy in the front bumper looks like it might be a radar detector. The other wire could be part of the same system. See where they lead back to.

Re: is this an aux plug?

I have been wanting one of those for a while now, but they're pretty expensive for the good ones.

Re: is this an aux plug?

That's a BEL RX-75 radar receiver antenna hanging out of the front of the car. The other piece probably ties into either the mute button or the speaker (a box about 1.5 inches on each side).

Wait, was that connector up in the roofliner?

Re: is this an aux plug?

it was just tucked under the roof line, but the wire comes out from the left side of of the dash board, which i assume leads to the front box in the fron bumper...
i also have a small antenna on the back of my roof that has a wire leading to some place along the right pillar mount... for radio stations i still use the stock antenna, so the person who had the car before might have installed that little antena for a reason but im sure why..

Re: is this an aux plug?

The radar antenna should have a very long cord attached to it with a phone-style plug on it. I have no idea why the radar system would be connected anywhere up there!

Re: is this an aux plug?

The other antenna could be for a cell phone or CB.

Re: is this an aux plug?

Satellite radio antennas are often placed behind the rear view mirror. Maybe that's what it was?
