TH-125 transmission parts.

I am willing to restore the auto transmission from my 1984 Pontiac 6000, does anyone knows where to find cheap new parts for this trans?
Any links/adress?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Re: TH-125 transmission parts.

I wonder if a 4T60 would bolt into that? Basically the same trans just has overdrive.

As for parts, try http://www.transtar1.com/ they have very high quality parts. They also have replacement "hard parts" (shafts, gears, etc...) that are upgraded from stock to take care of common failures, etc...

Yes, the 4T60 is basically the same with an overdrive, good thing for fuel economy, but a swap would be too expensive, i just need a new chain along with drive & driven sprockets, sender gear, filter, clutches, bushings, seals, gaskets, etc...
Also i found out that theres an upgrade for the chain & sprockets being wider and tougher from 84-up models.
Thanks for the link, thats a good place to search.
