Second this. The "auto" speed isn't infinitely variable (not on mine, anyway), but when the control is set just so will run on an intermittent cycle up to around 50 mph, then automatically switch to normal low speed with no delay between passes, then back to intermittent as the car slows. Definitely not a function of load on the alternator.

I've never seen it before either. Very cool video. I'm so happy that people are finding old video's like this and sharing them with everybody. I really love it.

I wish my windows and sunroof operated like that.

Awesome video. I've seen many but that's a first for that one.

I think it's intentional variable speed sensing wipers. My 96 legacy is the same way if the delay on intermittent. At first I thought i was just going crazy, because it would be in the back of my mind while concentrating on the road, and I'd wonder if it really happened. Upon closer inspection, it was the case.

Re: Motor Week '91 SVX Road Test Video

I liked seeing an SVX that looks damn near exactly like mine ran through its paces. I'm always behind the wheel doing that cool stuff and i never get to see what it looks like from the other point of view. I also think it was a great clip consitering it was brougt to us by viewers like us!! I love Public Broadcasting.
