Gas, 3rd vs 4th Gear

I figured i'd start driving in 3rd gear around town instead of keeping the car in 4th. I definitely like the immediate response every time i touch the accelerator, just wondering from those who drive their SVX like this all the time how much of a loss in gas mileage should i notice? My next 2 fill ups i'll start taking notes...........

Driving in 3rd

I started doing it yesterday. Immediately noticed better off-the-line response, but since I shift into D at 40+ mph, I don't think it will hurt gas mileage so much. That's because the engine was having to work harder to pull those tall gears at 25-30 mph anyway. I'll run checks starting with the next fill-up.
