SVX suspension question

Hi all, New to the board and looking at picking up a SVX. The one I'm looking at requires some new suspension. I was wondering if the struts and springs from either the Impreza or Leggy models would bolt up? I'm on a bit of a budget with this car and I know several Impreza and Leggy owners with suspension parts for a good price. Any info appreciated.

Thanks

Roger

svx suspension parts are svx specific. i have read something about i think imprezza suspension working but having modification - which is what you dont want to do.

the big differance, that i know of is that on the front the sway bar bolts to the strut on the svx, and to the lower control arm on the imp/leg, so the front struts are completely out of the question, unless you want to weld brackets to your new struts(the guy i talked to said it was a bad idea, they kind of explode, but he could have done it wrong), you can get koni adjustable inserts for about what it would cost you at the dealer, also i believe that some models came with an adjustable sport suspension, that is oem parts only
hope this makes sense, and helps

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just see about sourcing out a used set for now, or if I can find the Koni setup locally. I'll see what happens.

Thanks again.

Yup, Mychialo does. He also does custom springs if I remember. All you have to do is bolt them up. The price is actually not bad.

I am waiting for mine to fail... i hope he still is open for business by then,

The one that Beefcake posted would be good, since it would increase the number of orders and make it a more permanent deal.

You'd probably be intrested in this thread...

Bolt up system on the way, fully custom. Might as well improve it if you're going to replace it, right?!

Not to mention we need more people... hehe
