We're running 22" x 11" on 16" rims. SVXride is running 275's I think.

Don't know about that but I just put on 245/40/17 Michelin Pilots and I have lots of upper clearance. Maybe just go with the 40 series to be sure?
I test fitted a few on rims first to check for clearance.

That's a loaded question that calls for a loaded answer. If you drop a 1/8" of an inch yes, if you drop 4" no. Any other questions!

275/45-16 Hoosier R3 on 9 inch wide TSW rims with ~38mm offset -- serious rework of the front and rear fenders required since I don't have coil overs

Just put 255/40-17 Bridgestone 050 (street tires) on 8 inch wide Mustang GT Bullet rims that have 45mm offset. They look like they'd work without reworking the fenders, but then again, I'm running -1.5 degrees of camber in the back and -1.75 degrees of camber in the front.

295/35-17 Hoosier A6 tires on 9 inch wide Mustang Cobra rims with 26mm offset is next in the works. They'll be going on SVreX II, since it has GC coilovers on it.
