Mod for SVX Steering wheel Airbag

I just did a convertion to a 2002 WRX STi Momo Steering Wheel, and i have been seeing that there is a resistor mod that can be put in the Air bag plug to make the airbag light think its hooked up. My question is what ohms and what wires to jump.

Bill

I pulled the cluster on my 92, and there appears to be no bulb to be pulled for the airbag light. I assume it's built into the cluster somehow. How might one go about this?

its there but it has its own little covered area for it... Just look where the light comes on when u start the car and then look at the back on the cluster to get it

Most airbags ive delt with are 2.5-3.5 ohms.

I originated the WRX wheel swap and tried every trick on Nasioc - just pull the bulb.
BTW - I have ninety eight 3 ohm resistors for sale cheap if anyone wants one (I wanted to buy one and for a dollar, but the electronics store mailed me 100 of them).

In Virginia, that would fail state inspection. Also the passenger side airbag would become inoperative.

Stupid Virginia

Curious about mod details

Did any of you guys remove the airbag controller after installing the Momo? Did you gut the momo of its airbag?

no, the bag is still there just disconnected(its the horn center).

NJ inspection requires the light not to be on too.... Just most inspectors don't start the car so... they never know its off to begin with
