Check ebay periodically, you can find origionals for 20-60$ i've seen the range, from crappy to perfect condition. I'm going to buy another for mine shortly, as mine is all breaking apart in the middle. I don't know of a site that you can get them from though. You can also call your subaru dealer. If they don't have it, they can do a search for dealerships that might have it, and they're either $60 or $70 new.

Save yourself a lot of grief and buy the remotes from keylessride. They work perfectly, are smaller, lighter, and much better constructed. Better materials and just about waterproof (mine went through the washer once). No weak breaking points like the OEM

I replaced all of mine with these. They are on ebay now
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-S...spagenameZWDVW

or go straight to their website at http://www.keylessride.com/

I thought the stock one had four buttons.
The stock remote has only one button to arm and disarm the security system and unlock the doors. It is under the orange circle on the stock remote.

So when I lock the doors, the alarm automatically sets or what?
When the SECURITY button on the dash is blinking, and you press the remote button, the doors lock, the alarm sets, and there is a single beep from the horn and the parking lights flash once to let you know the system is armed.

When you press it again, there are two beeps from the horn, the parking lights flash twice, the doors unlock and the secirity system disarms

Why is there a "security" button inside the car?
You can disable the security system altogether and just use the remote to lock and unlock your car. Press the SECURITY button in the dash so that the red LED is off. When you press the remote with the security system disabled, the horn sounds five very rapid beeps to let you know the system is disabled. Press the SECURITY button on the dash (red LED should blink) to once again enable the security system
