I've hit a couple (or they hit me). Bumper and windshield.

Hit one in my Mustang years ago that bent the chrome windshield moulding in an explosion of feathers, some of which were left poking out from beneath the trim.

I have hit a bunch of birds in multiple different cars, and as of a couple weeks ago in the svx too. The only times that it happens is when i'm going ~80 and the birds come down to do their little swoop over the windshield thing they enjoy doing and they expect you to be going ~60 and they hit.

My friend hit a canadian goose last year in his legacy. It impacted the windshield about a foot and sprayed glass all inside his car.

I had a pair of birds go down the hoodscoops of my 1969 Dodge Super Bee. I didn't know it until a funky smell started to creep into the car a few days later.

So far, my SVX has been a friend of PETA.

In the SVX I've dodged raining 2x4s on the highway, I've had deer jump over the hood on the highway, but I have never had a bird come close. I can recall many airborn things coming close to my cars but the only one to ever succeed (insects excluded) was a table! Yes, the white metal kind with the hole in the middle for an umbrella! It was in a storm and it claimed my windshield, moved on to rip off some stripping and then slammed into the rear quarter leaving a fantastic dent before finally moving pass.

If anything the SVX has reduced the chances of me hitting birds over other vehicles.

This is a statistical fact.

My mom was driving through some really bad fog recently and all of a sudden a cow appeared in front of her. The cow was facing the same direction the car was traveling. My mom braked and when it ended the cow was literally sitting on the hood of the Ford Escort. So, my mom is now driving an Escort with an aftermarket Holstein butt-imprinted hood. Very cool
