GIUGIARO back at it!

http://www.pistonheads.com/news/defa...?storyId=12172

It looks as tho the designer of our beloved SVX is also designing the new aniversary Ferrari, with alomost 20 yrs difference between designs I think that his style has changed considerably, either way, both cars are hot.

Frankly? i don't like it's design, i was expecting something more aggressive and innovative. the front looks somehow like the 350Z and it has a short *ss. like a hatchback Giugaro must be drunk when he designed it.

I forgot to mention, the rims... look very cheap and early 90's design...

I like the windows and I would pick it over the normal 612 as long as they put their AWD system in it.

It looks like the front window goes all the way back. Can you imagine getting a crack in that it could span half the length of the car. But it could just look that way like the way it looks like the whole top of my car looks like glass but thats cuz I got the pear white with black on top.

Scagleitti? Wasn't Scagleitti a designer for Ferrari back in the 1960's? This car looks a bit like the RX-8 from front 3/4 view, and a bit like the Lotus Elise, and if you really want to get weird, a bit like a Berkley (remember that car?). I suppose it is difficult to come up with something fresh every time without going far over into the twilight zone. I'm just glad he stayed away from the hard edge designs some seem to embrace these days. Yuck!

i'm too sure about the design but the windows are kick ass

you can tell that they are 2 piece (in the second picture any way)
hoepfully the back ones roll down

is guigaro the only designer that realize people in the back of a 2-door might wanna roll there window down?

Very nice article on the GG50 in the Dec 05 issue of M&M (Makes and Models ) magazine. Much more detail on what the master changed from the original 612. Also an article/pics of the Bugatti Veyron and the new GT-R Prototype, as well as the Z4 Coupe concept car. Lots to drool over in this mag!!
