2nd gear?

a few weeks ago my tranny went out. when i took off it was like it was starting out in 2nd gear. i got it back the other day with a newly rebuilt tranny and still starting out in 2nd gear. a few days befor i sent it to the shop i changed the solenoid packs to a set that worked fine when i pulled them from another tranny. i was hoping to retrieve the codes from the tcu but it seems to be pretty stubborn (tried several times but it won't give them to me). i know there's a code because the power light blinks on startup.

does anyone have any ideas about this? maybe my tcu is bad? or maybe the solenoid packs are bad still? i would hate to just start changing thing until it works.

Sounds like the TCU to me. You changed the tranny so it can't be that. (unless they rebuilt your existing tranny)

the only thing that wasn't replaced was the tcu and the shift solenoids. it's acting like it could be either one of those bad.
