1995 SVX 5-speed Crashed

Don DiNaro, a long time SVXer who is on the Yahoo SVX site, recently crashed his 1995 Bordeaux Pearl, 5-speed, SVX. Thankfully he is OK.
I have copied his post and pasted it below.

Unfortunately I crashed the smallcar Ebay SVX I bought 10

I remember that Bourdeaux Pearl 5-spd SVX on Ebay. I'm glad he's trying to sell it to someone else rather than send it off to the junk yard.

Maybe the accident may have been related to small car's pedal assembly? If the assembly cracked at a weld or broke elsewhere, it may have caused the pedals to go out. I think he would have better luck parting it out and selling me the pedal assembly, (if it is not broken) Anyway I am sorry to hear another SVX is down for the count but happy to hear the SVXer is ok.

Larry, Tell him to ask the police what mechanic they will trust for "legal issues" have them inspect the car (should do it for a very low cost) they should be able to relieve him of responsibility, and even point out what may have been the cause. Also ask him if he has ANY reciepts of parts that hes put in the car (try to get the small car reciept if he can) DO NOT TAKE THE INSURANCES FIRST OFFER! hand them a pile of reciepts with all the money you've put in your car, and they'll be like "oh... ok how about THIS number" you can still buy the car back and part it out and should be able to end up with a significant amount of money more than the insurance agents first stated.

My guess is that a brake line popped. Happened to me in my Justy. There was no warning. I was lucky no one was in front of me or crossing that intersection.

It's sad to see a 5spd SVX lost. Any idea which tranny was in it?
