The strongest SUBARU transmission was the STi version 5 and 6 tranny... That is right... The 6MT (from sources that I have within SOA ) is actually built for Subaru by a company in europe. And yes, it is the strongest thing so far

Found a posting about different gearing options for STi's at http://www.imprezawrxsti.com/postnuk...wtopic&t=14094
The last post is from a SoCal vendor called King of Imports which apparantly can obtain the parts necessary to convert a USDM WRX STi to have JDM fifth and sixth gear ratios, since these two gears are tied together. Read the thread above for more info.

I sent a few e-mails to them and they should be able to get the parts, not sure about cost yet though...

Front to back, sorta: Claret 1992 Subaru SVX LS-L, JDM STi open front diff six speed, STi tranny mount, Kartboy shift bushings, WRX CD changer, rear R180, battery in trunk, Stebro exhaust.

2000 Specialized RockHopper A1 FS, converted to singlespeed 36:15.

I like my cars with too many gears and my bikes with too few...
