I was almost on this voyage...close call!
A year ago I was planing to get all of my school problems in order- my parents were finally acting like mature adults for the most part, but then they reverted to theie stubborn selves so I decided that going away to finnish school for 2-3 years wasn't a good idea, they couldn't be trusted with my things that I would leave behind, so I chose to give up on the idea. I had planed to get onto this voyage...

Got some later reports, it seems that they have returned to power on 2 engines cruising 8-10 knots in heavy seas, so things are going fairly well for the most part. The injuries are, acording to other reports, 1 broken arm and 1 broken leg (ouch) but supposedly nothing life threatening... plus general bumps and bruises. They changed destination from Japan to Midway Islands for repairs and inspection, good news is that the vessel is only a couple years old and German built, I hear they like to build craft that don't break

Just got another update- aparently in the aftermath they had the males and females separate, don life vests, and prepare to leave the ship
