I have a photo which hangs in my office. I'm looking at it right now.
There is no electronic version of it, but some of you have seen it.
It is a picture of my wife & SVX. Once this picture made me smile, now it will only bring sadness.

It was taken at the Liberty State Park SVX Meet (my first meet) in Dec. '99. Liberty State Park is a state park in northern New Jersey next to the Statue of Liberty.

The photo shows my wife and SVX in the foreground with lower Manhattan and the World Trade Center complex in the background.

I appologize for being such a downer. I was born & raised in Manhattan and no matter where I am, I will always consider myself a New Yorker. I still feel like I was personally f***ed over on Sept. 11, 2001.

Believe me, they are stock silver. Not white. The wheels can be painted, however. John Hoffman has a resource. You've met him, right? PM him, though I doubt that white wheels would look good on a Claret SVX. I have the 94 wheels on my 92. They do look much brighter than the "gray" 92's. And, if you do some checking, 92 wheels came in TWO colors, "gray" and "charcoal."

Aredub, I called John today and he told me the exact same thing. Anyway, I have a question for you. I saw your SVX, and your windows are tinted. How many percent are your windows tinted?? I saw a Burgundy SVX on motorsport site which had it's windows tinted. this is the address http://www.motorsportwarehouse.com/svx.shtml .

How much would you think this SVX's windows are tinted??

Well, they told me, at the dealership, where I bought the car, that it was a 35% tint (darkest allowed by both KY and IN law), but, I actually think it's darker. I've never had it measured, and I've never been stopped, so, they must think I'm legal. It was tinted when I got it, so, I honestly don't know.

As for the Motorsportswarehouse car, PM Dayle (MotorsportsSVX). I'm pretty sure he can tell you about that one.

I'm sorry, been 'away' for a awhile. Ardub is right, they are stock '96 silver. EVERYTHING on my car is stock. I'm a stock nut. I think that Subaru and ItalDesign got it right.

I just found a couple of photos that were taken on the day (July 2, 1999) I bought my 92 pearlie. The first of the car coming up that long, dirt driveway for the first time and the second a shot of me, the pearlie, and the Legacy GT in front of my house.

They are in the FIRST DRIVE folder inside the MY 92 PEARL folder in my locker
