popping while turning

I hear a popping while turning right from the right front wheel assembly. Popping is faster th faster the car is moving. I think my rotors have increadibly warped and what I'm hearing is the rotor hitting the brake assembly as the wheel turns. Any suggestions?

I dont think it would be anything in the brake system. I think it might be your axle too.

Me too

I have yet to figure out what this intermittent problem is, but I've had it over a year.
Try not to work the wheels too hard or crank it too far.

Sounds like a CV joint to me, I just replaced 1, got rebuild kits for some others from parts cars, the replacement was used.

This is what I thought, but no mechanic could find anything wrong with mine.

I have some wonderful popping too. But mine is duty selonoid C that decided to crap out on me and I can't get my car to unlock 50/50 F/R while I wait for the replacement to arrive. Even the FWD fuse doesn't do anything... not even FWD dash light comes on.

Yeah, I think it has more to do with the awd.

If the FWD light does not come on then it could possibly be the TCU that is defective.

Question Same problem

Hi all,

I am also having the same problem with my front left side(drivers side) wheel. while i am turning to the left and right (but turning left is giving me more vibrations tht i can feel than while turning on to right). I am feeling these vibrations more often by placing my arms on the steering wheel. This is more recognisable at low speeds only (below 20-30 mph). Recently i have replaced my front drivers side rotor and back passenger's side rotor along with all brake pads.

observations from my mechanic -
1) It may be due to some worn out front axle/CV

or

2) It is becos of its AWD technology.

but he is not sure abt the first one.

r anybody is having any more ideas or suggestions abt wht the main reason can be.

Is it harmful to drive at that condition for a long time (i mean for 5-6 months).

thanks,
Pavan.

You guys should hear my Integra clunck and yes I KNOW it's the front CV joint boots been gone for about 6-7 months. and you should see the cv joint itself looking at bearing and grease and leftover bits of rubber oh my.

For me it was the steering arm boots

I had to have something replaced in the steering assembly (don't remember what now), and the garage had to remove the boots.
Apparently when they put them back on they twisted them - a big no-no - and now they pop like buggery especially in parking buildings!! If you look at the boots you may see a kinked part, or a twist (but now it's too late after they get twisted).
