94MY question
Am I correct in my thinking that in 94' the LS was only FWD, where the L could be either, and the LSI was only AWD......

No, both the L and the LS were only FWD. Only the LSi was AWD.

Your right it was the 95L I was thinking of that could be either.

91/2/3 are all AWD
94L/LS/LE are FWD
94Lsi are AWD
95 L/LS can be AWD depending on the package
95 Lsi are AWD
as of 96, ALL Subarus that are imported to the US are AWD
