Warning Lights!! But Not Blinking or Flickering
I was driving my car today and I looked down at the guages and the was a plethera of warning lights on. The Batt, Stop Lamp, Brake, and ABS lights are on constantly. I figured it was the belt so I pulled over and it's fine. So I came home and came straight to the forums but everything I found in my search said flickering or RPM related, wondering what the problem could be, any thoughts??? Car seems to drive fine.

Based on my own experience, I'd say your alternator is about to die. Put a voltmeter on it and see what it's supplying.
I don't know what it's like in the states, but over here Subaru charge about $1200 for a new one. But you can have it rebuilt for about $200, or you can buy a new one from the Mitsubishi Alternators catalog for about $250. Phil. Last edited by b3lha; 03-21-2004 at 12:42 PM. |

Lights
Hi KAM, Your alternater is about to become a paper weight. You can't fix them. It can be replaced with a new or rebuilt unit. Take care, BOBB
P/S They quite often test out OK, but the only answer is to get another. "B" |

Went down to autozone, alternator is dead as a dorr nail. It's putting out negative amps. Dead Dead Dead!!!!!! And only two days after I got it on the road. Figures. Anyways just ordered a new one from NAPA $141 with my discount. Will be here in the morning. Thanks for the help.
