I got my SVX!!!
Went to a Chevy dealer in Seattle yesterday and sitting there on the lot was a pristine 92 LS-L with only 71k on it. Beautiful in and out. Well after driving her I decided that my search was over. Unfortantely she is still in Seattle and I am here in Alaska but I'll go get her ASAP.
I want to thank everyone here for answering my questions about the car and I will continue to be active in the club as we all learn new things about these cars. Mine is a nice silver/black with leather interior and a spoiler. I even got a good deal on an extended warranty that covers just about everything (incuding my tranny and wheel bearings, yay). for the next 2 years. I will post some pics in my locker. Thanks everybody! 0260N4 92 LS-L 72k miles, leather, spoiler, Silver on black and a kickin stereo system |

Congratulations! With the two year warranty, you should be a happy camper. Best of luck, and please do hang out with us.
BTW, my stepson spent some time in Homer, where his uncle owns a touring plane business. He worked on the boats, fishing, for a while to earn money for school.

Homer huh?
What is the name of the business? I am a commercial pilot myself so may know the operator. In fact I have to fly a trip down to Homer tomorrow.

He's right it is very cool here . Well at least then maybe I wont have to worry much about overheating my tranny.
I paid $6800 for the car and an additional $1370 for an extended warranty that covers just about everything on the car (very comprehensive) that is good for 2 years/24K miles. Car was in almost perfect condition and the dealer was asking $8999. I am going to drive it from Seattle to Anchorage this weekend and I will try and take some pics of the trip and will post how it goes. 0260N4 92 LS-L Silver on black, Spoiler, 72K, and a kickin stereo system |

I am familiar with Homer Air, I believe they fly several 206's and a few Britten-Norman Islanders. I'll look when I go back down there tomorrow. Nice town Homer, long as you like to fish.
