Angry light problems

i'm still having some sort of electrical problem with my car. i just put in a new alternator and that cured the problem with the defrosters and the stereo but the lights in the insurment cluster still come on when i turn the wheel which also gets really hard to turn, they also come on when i hit the brakes really hard. not all the lights come on only the steering, stop lamp, brake, abs, and the charging light. the ps fluid is full and there are no signs of leaks coming from it. also, the white plasic box way up high underneath the dash, what is it? cause mine has electrical tape wrapped around it and it really looks like someones been into it.

Check the belt that connects all the stuff at the front. Most likely it's loose from the sound of it.
