Proud new SVX owner

I am the new owner of a 92 LS-L fully loeded top of the line SVX and I love it. I need to clean the fake suede on the dash because its dirty and the headlights are cloudy but other than that its really nice. I have some small oil leaks that I think are the seals which I hope wont cost to much to replace. And I have to push up on the sunroof to get it to open. I have also noticed that the car came with a terrible stereo system that I will have to replace later. Other than that I love this car and I hope that the leaks wont make me have second thoughts. I'm glad I could join all you SVX owners.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Congratulations on your SVX! I'm sure you will have many many questions on your new car and luckily you will find most of the answers on this forum! I've had my SVX 3 months now and I'm just now getting to know it! Takes time but the car is definitely worth it! Happy SVX-ing

-Nick

Welcome to the site. Like Nick said, there is a lot to this car, but you can learn a lot by hanging out here. Congratulations on your SVX!

Welcome aboard, Neon. We love Neons here, don't we folks?
Anyway, if you need any help or recommendations for service facilities in the Bawlamer area, there are a few of us around here with a lot of cheap advise.

The SVX is a fantastic car! Congrats on the purchase! Just a word of caution: SVX folk don't like hearing Mopar's econobox has almost identical performance to the SVX.

But not an SR3

Personally I think it would be real close between a Neon SRT-4 and a SVX and since the SRT-4 is alot lighter with about the same power, well I won't say it

congrats on your purchase. I just got mine and absolutely love it. However, I do have that same sunroof problem only when it's really hot. If it's mild outside (70 or so) it opens fine. Anyone know of a fix? ......I'm assuming this is common

My sunroof does the same thing unless you're going like highway speed. Somewhat strange, i should clean the tracks that its on sometime that probly has something to do with it.

Eh... no... a regular neon. The SRT4 would destroy an SVX. 250hpish engine (SVX has 230) and a light chassis makes for high 13 second runs right outta the box.

The fastest SVX we even know about is still in the 14s, even with nitrous and a 5spd swap.

My sunroof sticks too. I cleaned the tracks and spayed them with some silicone lubricant, but it didn't seem to do much. I read somewhere that the rpoblem is that some little 'roller' in the mechanism is worn flat, so it doesn't roll, it just slides.

Maybe, but it still won't touch an SR3
