your preferred fader setting...

So, what's your peferred fader setting on your SVX ride? I've found that I prefer it faded somewhat to the back. It feels to me like the music has more ambiance.

Well, since I blew my right passenger side speaker, I definately fade to the back. I always did, though. Just slightly to the back.

I fade to the rear as those speakers have more bass.
The balance is better as you say.

Ditto... just a tad. The fronts can't quite handle the bass setting or volume that the rears do without distortion.

Hmmm, never thought about it. I just tweaked intil it sounded balanced. Now I'm curious. It's not done from my fader. It's done with the amps. Now I'll have to look...THANKS ALOT!

zero rear fade. but then I personally don't like rear fill, so I have the rear speakers disconected.

I have the rear speakers disconnected, and am using high end components in the front.

Front sound stage only... the way music was meant to be heard. I have it time-corrected for the driver's position, it images perfectly just above and to the right of the steering wheel. Sounds like the singer is floating above the hood, and the rest of the soundstage is very wide, with pinpoint imaging. I have one cut where the guitar sounds like it is floating over near my right A-pillar... it's excellent.

I'm using these: http://www.jlaudio.com/evolution/XR650CS.html

With one of these: http://www.eclipse-web.com/products/...op.html#cd8443

And Monster XP home theater speaker cable for the wiring. It's a pretty sweet setup considering there's no sub and no external amp.

So, I guess to better answer the question... I have it faded "all the way forward"...
