Engineering Job wanted - Milwaukee or Minneapolis areas

Hey it's a long shot...but what the heck...

I'm looking for a mechanical or manufacturing engineer position in or near either Milwaukee or Minneapolis. I have about 5 years in manufacturing engineering working with a variety of processes.

If anyone can help me out with a lead or some info, please PM or email me. Thanks!

Steve

While we are doing this I might as well:

I am looking for a network/database/web admin postition as well. Will move almost anywhere (as long as I can order my parts for my SVX).

Let me know if you guys/girls know any openings for such positions.

Sorry, Steve, can't help but I wish I could. I'm a little removed from the job market up there.

Lwin, if you want to work in a beautiful place with lots of great roads to really let the SVX out, plus opportunities to use the AWD in mountainous terrain, PLUS (here's a bonus!) get paid LESS than you're worth, try this link: http://www.state.nm.us/spo/recruit.htm

You can download the application form from the same site!

Actually, you have to multiply the hourly rate by 2080 (number of hours you're paid for during the year), so the range for that job is $41K - $73K. Woo-hoo, as they say.

In reality, someone who meets all the requirements is rarely hired at the minimum - more likely, midpoint of the range ($57K) or higher, depending on negotiating skills and desperation of the hiring agency. Still less than you're worth, but pretty significant money for New Mexico. That's why the best and the brightest don't stick around here. Hmmmmm . . . what does that say about ME? .

Regardless, Doug, I'd love to have another SVX owner and network member move to Santa Fe. Come on down!!

Seems like the only people who make significant money working for government are elected officials and Federal employees.

I can give you a job Steve, starting tomorrow, but the commuting might get you down.

Screw commuting - I'd move for a job where you live.

Of course, if'n I could get my mitts on the elusive SVX amphibious package, then I'd be set. It's just a shame that the amphib package wasn't an option for the twin turbo SVXs - that'd be sure to cut the commuting time down by a lot.

Do not buy a twin-turbo SVX without the snorkel option. You will have water pouring around your feet from the heater, and find yourself wishing for Randy's redneck two-gun rack.
