Reading IV

FYI Regarding the Smorgasbord we went to at Reading II (that had been discovered by the whole world by the time of Reading iii): They still will not hold reservations on Saturdays and they are closed Sundays. They WILL provide party or banquet reservations Monday thru Friday. They are open 5 am to 8 pm every day but Sunday. By late afternoon, while the line is not hanging out the door, the parking lot is full even on week days. Unless something changes by April this is probably not a good place to plan on having dinner. Sorry, Randy.

Where were you ?
I was at work... you know, the place that I dont have to go to anymore, haha!!

Botto's huh, never been there, and I LOVE Sausage w/onins and peppers!! You should call me next time you are up this way, after all I have nothing but free time now...

It's called "Backfire" Ron. I used to "abbreviate" the word Straight by just writing "Strait" when I was in high school. It was corrected so many times, that I've tried to remove "strait" from my vocabulary so's I'm not tempted. So, don't give me too much guff if you see me write "The Bearing Straights" some time.

Talking PA bound

Bobby,

Thanks for the rapid pace! We were fine until a Viper came through and everyone and their sister driving station wagons and trucks wanted to keep up with it. We've seen Road Warrior too many times to want to do battle in the cornfields of Ohio. We appreciate the company and hope to catch you in the Northeast again. Reading perhaps?

We love the blue SVX... haven't seen one before. We will end up with a 95 or 96 someday soon.

Roll on!

The sad thing about this is, that in reading it, I feel right at home.

Going straight.... or strait....or something

<So, don't give me too much guff if you see me write "The Bearing Straights" some time.>

...or "Dire Straights"....

----------------HOLD THE PRESSES--------------
Yesterday afternoon in Beckley, I spied a pearlie that I had not seen before. Chasing it with the Swift was fun! Luckily he turned into the Mall, which is where we were going anyway. Turns out it is a '92 with almost the same miles as SuperRu, and the owner is a doctor, a surgeon to be exact, and he lives in town. I can't believe I had never seen it before. He told me he was on the lookout for another one, with fewer miles. Except for a door ding or two, his looked OK. I didn't have any club card thingies with me, but I jotted my name, number, and our website down on a card, and he gave me his business card in return. I asked him...no I BEGGED him to check in with us, especially now that Randy is paying a finders-fee for every new member...

Already up to 24

I guess we better start planning this thing if we've got this many interested parties already. Think we can iron out a time to meet before Mike heads back to Steeler Country? I'm quite open at the moment. Just looking for a house but that's usually scheduled a day or two ahead.

Actually, it should be 25 or 26. I'm sure SJLWEL (Unkle Worn) will be there, and, if ain't rainin', his precious wife, Sandy, will bring their second one.

If I decide to bring the Evil Twin, that'll make 27. Can we break last year's record of 33? Only the Shadow knows.
