Focus.....the worst car

Ok ...so last weekend was my b-day and i was with a few of my friends. The one girl leaves and a few min later i hear my alarm goin off.........Well she floored it in reverse into the front end of my car. She was in one of those new Saturn SUV's. She thought she was in drive and did $3600 in damage. Now im driving around this bright green focus rental car. Which has no options ....its uncomfortable as hell...it doesn't even have tilt wheel.........the only good thing is ....im getting some new parts but it has been a week and i am still driving this damn clown car and they wont be done for at the very least another week....Never thought i would say but i wish i had a cavalier

don't say that you'd rather have a Cavalier..... That is just going to a new low.... I had a Ford focus rental once... I beat the piss outta it!!!! ..... Every time I went around a corner I was all over the hand brake!!!! Sliding through corners and pulling U turns in the middle of the street just for the hell of it!!!! It was pretty fun!!!! Try that if you are bored with it!!

see suv's

sorry about the accident. yet another victim of suv's. i'm not really into suv's. every since the new 'fad' for cars turned to suv's, i've never been that enthusied with them. would be nice to have as a spare car for long, long trips, but other than that i don't like them. i actually see more accidents with suv's than anything. in parking lots suv's back into other cars. a suv decided to run the red light and plow into this beautiful new 911 porsche. a suv took a turn too fast around a corner and went into the next lane hitting a parked car. i think we need to advertise to suv drivers to enroll in hotshoe's class for drivers that think they can drive that needs a wakeup call.

oh well.....

I'd have to say that 'rental ANYTHING' sucks. I've driven a few focii before, and they've been nice cars. I've driven quite a few neons before, and they've been nice cars. RENTAL cars, however, are a completely different story.

Yeah i have been beating the hell out of it hitting all the pot holes and ****, speed bumps....i do love the handbreak .....and speeding down hills..........i actually cracked the bumber goin down a hill to fast....but thats why u buy the 15 dollar a day insurance ...............and i do also hate suv's .....now more than ever cause if it had been a regular saturn, less damage would have occured and i might be driving my car now in the nice weather that i have been having.

Don took me for a ride in the Focus tonight. Wow, what a piece of junk. You have to lock all of the doors by themselves. Ive never seen anything like that!!!!

My brother has a focus. I've driven it a few times. Peppy for a little car, but the SVX has more pull at 3000 rpm than it does when you floor the focus hehe.

I also couldnt get my brother's focus out of snow while my dad's camry didnt have a problem for some reason.

The seats are pretty high though.

Sorry to hear about your SVX, always sucks when this kind of thing happens.

You think the Focus is bad? I was saddled with an Escort when I got deck in my Impreza...that thing was an awful weak pile of junk. I was wishing for a Focus after 2 days. I however traded it in on a Neon. I liked the Neon, it had comfortable seats and a nice quiet interior (compared to the Escort) but the driveline was dying at 24k...pathetic. Also, I'm not sure who rated the SOHC Neon at 130 horses, because that thing was powered by hamsters (weak ones at that).

Hmmm, you guys..........

Focus has won awards in Europe you know !! I'm not sure if the exact specifications are changed for the US market, I had an Escort as a rental here once and it was significantly different to the UK model, and not for the better !! Steering wheel was on the wrong side for a start...........

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Ford-fan by any means, but check out the high performance versions of Focus and Escort below, which Ford don't allow you guys to play with for some reason..........

And of all the things I've seen this trip over here, can anyone explain a Dodge Caravan SPORT to me ?? Surely that's mutually exclusive, I mean a performance baby-bus, what ever next, a drag-race PT Cruser ??

xxx rated - over 18's only.

The last time Belha and I visited Italy, I asked the car rental woman what sort of car I was getting. She "it's a f*cker" (sorry, but I'm sure that's what she said!).

It wasn't until I looked at the key fob that I realised that's the way they pronounce Focus in Italy.

Anyway, I didn't like it - I kept scraping the passenger side against the crash barriers on the alpine roads.

Phil.

Escort - not the worst car in the world. Is it slow? Of course. But the '90-up MY Escorts are reliable cars. My family had a '91 wagon that went to 220k miles before the tranny gave up.

Focus - not real fond of 'em, but I've never driven one.

Now, if you want to talk about the worst car ever, I nominate the Plymouth Acclaim. Words cannot describe the car. I was given one as a loaner while my SVX was getting an axle replaced. I have never before, and never since, actually felt in danger because a car was so slow and handled so poorly.
