Anyone have Raxles?

hi-

I have a CV axle up front that's REALLY bad. I've been getting my replacements from Raxles in Florida. Marty says that he's got a bunch of SVX axles out, but he needs to get at least ONE back so he can rebuild it and send it to me. If anyone just has a new one waiting to be installed, would you PLEASE try to get it in and ship the old unit back to Marty?

Thanks

-adam

its a newer design, all the 03 trannys are the same put the axel connections are slightly different, maybe due to the weight of the car. A lot of the 02 WRX's were roaasting the boxes(even on test drives) so subary updated quite a few things and beefed them up a bit. Plus what isnt a benefit if it has 2200 miles on it

if you've got a clicking CV axle, it's your best bet for a replacement part, since Subaru charges $300 an axle..

Im not complaining.

Anyone have an update on raxles. Have the boots held up well - any signs of cracking or weakness?
The wife's RF axle boot threw up a few months ago and now its getting pretty noisy. I'm trying to decide between advance auto parts junk or raxles.com
Or maybe someone has a spare axle from a 5spd swap w/ a forester?

Also - this was posted a while back about napa axles not fitting
Part #s as listed at Napa website
CTR 7346 '92AWD (wrong outboard joint/seal face/spline length
CTR 7330 all FWD (wrong outboard seal face)
CTR 7347 '97AWD ?????

Can anyone validate this?

I can't validate it but NAPA usually screws up anything for any Subaru. Every time I try to get wheel bearing seals or axle boots they sent me the wrong ones. Now I just have to keep the part numbers to give them. As far as anything for the SVX they usually just laugh at me when I mention it. On the other hand a place called Auto parts International stocks CV boots for the SVX.

I just installed Raxles on my 92...

and I couldn't be happier with the quality or service. They even came with the return shipping label, and no core charge.

I would recommend raxels to anyone (not just for SVX's).

re: i have a set

i have a set and i also have a set of axles i'm going to ship out tomorrow to marty. i just got the return postage from marty on wednesday but i've been busy and haven't had a chance to drop it off at a ups station. but i will drop it off tomorrow and he should have it sometime this week.

they seem pretty decent, no problems yet and marty's a pretty decent guy to deal with. keeps ya updated on status and that lifetime warranty is nice.

yeah, raxles might not be the cheapest out there, but marty's a cool guy with a weird sense of humor.. lifetime warranty is nice, plus the axles are remanufactured to higher-than OEM standards

they use AMSOIL lubricants, with which a lot of the BMW clubracers i met in my brief stint in the bmw world seemed to swear by..

I've got a couple of old ones laying around that I could donate as long as someone else pays the shipping.
