Bill
p.s. how are those headers going?
He did very well on an all new set-up.
We did not have or need shoe polish because the slicks were brand new.
Elezar does not do impressions.
The back end stuck well and the 30 psi rear tires did not "roll over" nearley as much as the 25 psi fronts.
Yes, still understeering.
At Rufus's suggestion We will run the other set of wheels and tires tomorrow.
Hoosier As in front and hoosier Rs in back.
On your old wheels it seems.
More on this later.

Re: Pumpkin Carve Meet?

Well the TSW wheels require longer than stock studs to fit propperly,
BUT the tuner wheel nuts that I have here will not work with the VERY long studs on The Racer.
So, back to the steel wheels and new as of yesterday, slicks.

Re: Pumpkin Carve Meet?

Pics! My TSW rims always worked fine on RacerX, so I'm not sure what issue you're having with them. As in front and Rs in back is the way I always ran them (As are stickier).

Sounds like you need tuner nuts that allow the studs to go all the way through them.

Good luck!!

Bill

A huge thanks to OT for letting me drive this all year.

I don't do very good impressions. Mike's feedback from one day was worth more than a whole year's from me. I've learned a lot, though, that will be valueable to me on the track next year.
And I had bunches of fun.....................
and didn't hit anything!!

Re: Pumpkin Carve Meet?

Here you go, Harvey. All I have is some cell phone shots my brother took and he missed the first two runs:

Run 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7zNhSsRd-Y

Run 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1U3ILIOckA

Run 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVZRhaqHe-M

Run 6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26E-qU-gx7Q

Run 7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOmlzJi2YBM

Last one was the best of 46.33

Here's how it sits now with new 275/45-16s and coilovers:

Re: Pumpkin Carve Meet?

Nice! Those are the Diamond steel rims that Dave and Ben bought and were running the bias ply race tires on before.

Re: Pumpkin Carve Meet?

Hard to tell from the video, but do you still have a good deal of body lean with the Racecar?

Bill

It's a lot less with the higher spring rates.

Re: Pumpkin Carve Meet?

Thanks Elazar for the evidence.

We'll have to take up a collection for a on-board camera for the car, then we can all go for the ride.

Thanks Harvey.

Your point is what. It is still way too much for you to handle as you proved without a doubt earning that lovely nickname... right Walter?
